Calcium carbonate is one of the brightest and most cost-effective extenders available. Huber Engineered Materials manufactures over 40 grades of Hubercarb® calcium carbonate, ranging in particle size from 1 micron to 2000 microns.
Our finer particle size products are also available with a stearic acid treatment for fast dispersion.
Nearly eliminate the crystalline silica content of your calcium carbonate with high brightness Optifil and Hubercarb W series products. These grades contain extremely low crystalline silica content (<0.1%) with low moisture pick-up and rounded particle shape which improve surface finish and reduce equipment abrasion.
Ground barium sulfate is extremely dense, inert and has low oil absorption. Huberbrite® 94 brightness barium sulfate series can be filled at high loadings for clean, bright colors. The high density of barium sulfate (4.5 g/cc) makes it an excellent product for vibration dampening and x-ray absorbents.
