Huber is committed to responsible business practices that contribute to the sustainable development of its natural and human resources, with the goal of a net positive Environment, Heath, and Safety (“EH&S”) impact on our company, our employees, our communities and our environment. The scope of Huber’s EH&S management system is built upon the various elements of the Responsible Care® 14001 (RC14001) and International Organization for Standardization 14001:2004 (ISO14001) management systems, and the principles and practices of World Class Safety. Huber’s EH&S management system has been designed to manage the following key areas:
Compliance
Huber manages it business activities to meet all applicable government laws and regulations, all internal Huber EH&S standards, procedures, and commitments, and all other EH&S requirements (external to the organization) to which Huber subscribes. Documented systematic efforts are in place to prevent, detect, and correct potential violations of EH&S laws, regulations, permits, and enforceable agreements.
Protection
Huber conducts its activities in a manner that protects the well-being of its employees and the public, minimizes its environmental footprint, and meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Performance
Huber is committed to continual improvement of it’s EH&S performance. The Huber Environmental Performance Index (HEPI), total recordable injury rates, and other EH&S metrics are used to target and measure Huber’s EH&S performance improvements.
Technology
Huber will innovate technology that is consistent with its goal of a net positive EH&S impact and which is economically feasible to implement.
