Silicate for Heat Resistance
Nitrile rubber compounds typically need reinforcing additives. Most will also benefit from improved properties after exposure to heat. With the addition of Zeolex® 23 silicate, compounders get two performance properties from just one versatile ingredient.
Zeolex 23 is a synthetic sodium aluminosilicate with a pH of 10, oil absorption of 75g/100g, and 8 micron particle size. Zeolex 23 is a cost-effective reinforcing agent for nitrile compounds. It also imparts excellent retention of tensile and elongation properties after heat aging.
