We are excited and pleased to offer a unique alternative in optimizing thermal management to meet controlled and superior heat dissipation requirements with our exclusive series of Martoxid® TM Thermally Conductive Fillers. Our alumina-based solutions are designed to function as a thermally conductive and electrically insulative material for modified polymeric systems offering unique properties and performance.
Huber’s Martoxid® TM-4000 series products are specially designed for polyamides. Martoxid® TM-4250 thermally conductive filler is the newest grade in the series, which can increase orientation independent (isotropic) thermal conductivity in PA6 and PA66 up to 2.5 W/mK (in-plane and through plane). Also, additive levels up to 75 weight % combined with low viscosity and excellent flowability result in higher throughput during extrusion while providing lower energy consumption.
Tests conducted at Fraunhofer LBF in Darmstadt, Germany, on PA6 compounds confirms that the abrasion level of Martoxid TM-4250 is low and much less abrasive compared with fillers that have a lower Mohs hardness, such as aluminosilicate and glass fiber.
The unique engineered morphology and surface treatment qualities of Martoxid TM-4250 enable formulators to achieve superior compound performance, including excellent mechanical properties such as elongation at break and Charpy impact strength. Because of the optimized rheological behavior, the Martoxid TM-4000 series can be used in complex and integrative designs of parts, including sub-millimeter wall thicknesses via standard injection molding techniques. Furthermore, injection molding production processes showed a reduced cycle time up to 50 percent compared to standard polyamide parts as a result of a faster cooling time. There are a number of application possibilities for the Martoxid TM-4000 series, including a variety of electronics and automotive technologies. It’s Always a Bright Day at Huber Engineered Materials! We look forward to seeing and visiting with you in person soon!
It is that time of year again, time for us to shine at our annual fall road shows! We are excited and looking forward to a very busy and bustling fall 2018 trade show season which allows us the opportunity to visit live with customers, distributors, suppliers and friends to discuss our array of high-performing specialty ingredients. The fall schedule at various venues where Huber will be exhibiting includes:
We cordially invite you to put us on your show exhibit itinerary and look forward to you stopping by and visiting with us! Be sure to visit our blog often in the coming weeks as we report live from these events in more detail. See you in person soon!
This week we are excited and pleased to be in Novi, Michigan, just outside of Detroit exhibiting at the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Automotive Composites Conference & Exhibition (ACCE).
The automotive industry is incredibly intriguing to us as the technology today changes practically on a daily basis and the future is no doubt unlimited. We are embracing this potential by educating automotive manufacturers and others attending ACCE about our Halogen-Free Fire Retardant Additives and Martoxid® TM Thermally Conductive Fillers and how they can provide formulation benefits in a variety of applications.
We offer a unique alternative in optimizing thermal management for car and truck batteries and other automotive parts with our exclusive series of Martoxid® TM Thermally Conductive Fillers. This generation of unique, high performing aluminum oxide additives is based on innovations to meet controlled and superior heat dissipation requirements. Our alumina-based solutions are designed to function as a thermally conductive and electrically insulative material.
Is something missing from your current silica or polypropylene matting agent? Is there a certain benefit or physical property you’d like to have that’s just not quite working right?
If the answer to either of these questions is yes, we’ve got the ideal solution you should consider now!
It’s our exclusive line of Pergopak® flatting and matting agents, which are organic thermoset polymethyl urea resins (PMU) offering significantly different performance advantages and benefits versus what you’re currently using. Pergopak products help you achieve a higher performing balance of low gloss, rheology, abrasion resistance, coin-marking, water resistance, chemical resistance, heat resistance and soft feel – that they are unable to achieve with silica or wax flatting agents alone.
A distinct and key advantage of our Pergopak® offerings are that they disperse quickly and easily, with relatively little dusting − in both the grind and let-down. Right now is the time to see for yourself below the high performance of our Pergopak products as they are far easier to post-add during let-down versus silica matting agents. We look forward to working with you!
