ATLANTA, GA., March 19, 2008 — Huber Engineered Materials, part of J.M. Huber Corporation, today announced updated electronic releases of two popular brochures supporting its kaolin industrial specialties product portfolio.
One brochure focuses on Polygloss® 90 ultra-fine kaolin, a unique extender for titanium dioxide and color pigments, while the other discusses the application of kaolin clays as premium extenders in ink.
Polygloss 90 is a water-washed clay with an ultra-fine particle size and high brightness. A wide range of applications are discussed, including high and medium gloss paints and coatings; ink formulations; textile printing systems; tinting paste; and plastic and thermoset masterbatches.
The second brochure titled Premium Pigments for the Ink Industry includes typical properties for kaolin clay and its many uses in offset, gravure, flexographic and screen inks. The piece includes product descriptions,
a product use section and information about rheology, glossing and pigment
extension to increase value and performance of a variety of ink types.
