ATLANTA, GA., April 14, 2006 — Huber Engineered Materials, part of J.M. Huber Corporation, today announced a price increase for its precipitated silica and silicate primarily used in industrial applications. The increase, effective May 15, 2006, includes a 5% increase on its entire Zeothix® silica product line as well as increases for sodium aluminosilicate and calcium silicate.
The company cited continued high raw material and energy costs as the basis of the increase.
