ATLANTA, GA., June 01, 2006 — Huber Engineered Materials, part of J.M. Huber Corporation, today announced a price increase for its alumina trihydrate (ATH).
The increase, effective July 1, 2006, raises prices 3 – 8% for ground, tan grades under Huber® SB and Micral® brand names. The company cited continued high market demand, record raw material costs and increases in freight as the basis of the increase.
ATH is a non-halogen, flame retardant additive used in a variety of reinforced plastics, carpet backing, cast polymer and wire and cable formulations.
Huber® and Micral® are registered trademarks of J.M. Huber Corporation for alumni trihydrate.
