ATLANTA, Oct. 8, 2007 – Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), part of J.M. Huber Corporation, today announced it will showcase the operations of its Modesto, Calif., facility at the SupplySide West trade show Nov. 6-8 at The Venetian and Sands Expo in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Modesto facility was purchased by Huber in 2006 and is a key component of the company’s Health and Nutrition business unit. The processing capabilities of Modesto to be highlighted at the show include fluid bed granulation, blending and packaging.
“The Modesto facility is a key to our long-term business strategy and success, and we are looking forward to showcasing and discussing its capabilities at Supplyside West,” says Michael E. Tarquini, Ph.D., business development director for Huber’s Health and Nutrition business unit. “The fluid bed granulation, blending and packaging capabilities at Modesto positions Huber for the vitamin and mineral pre-mix business and a variety of innovative packaging opportunities. We are excited about Supplyside West and look forward to discussing Modesto and its operations with attendees of the show.”
In addition to featuring the processing capabilities of the Modesto facility, Huber plans to focus on its leadership position as a leading supplier of compressible and powder forms of highly pure calcium carbonate in naturally mined and oyster shell grades for the food, nutrition and pharmaceutical markets.
