Our ‘Pioneering’ Spirit Leads to Ceramics Success
We’ve had a longstanding tradition at Huber Engineered Materials to develop new and innovative products and technologies that assist our customers in making their products appeal, perform and process better.
Such is the case with our unique line of Martoxid® KMS ‘Ready to Press’ granulates which are specifically engineered to enhance ceramics applications, electronic components, anti-wear components and other high performance applications.
Our four unique grades have AL2O3 content ranging from 94 to 99%. A carefully controlled manufacturing process combined with constant monitoring and detailed quality control ensure the production of consistently high grade feed stocks with reproducible product characteristics.

Our New Martoxid® TM-4000 Series Products (and Martoxid® TM-4250 Thermally Conductive Filler Grade) Pack a Strong Thermal Management Punch for a Variety of Electronics and Automotive Applications
We are excited and pleased to offer a unique alternative in optimizing thermal management to meet controlled and superior heat dissipation requirements with our exclusive series of Martoxid® TM Thermally Conductive Fillers. Our alumina-based solutions are designed to function as a thermally conductive and electrically insulative material for modified polymeric systems offering unique properties and performance.
Huber’s Martoxid® TM-4000 series products are specially designed for polyamides. Martoxid® TM-4250 thermally conductive filler is the newest grade in the series, which can increase orientation independent (isotropic) thermal conductivity in PA6 and PA66 up to 2.5 W/mK (in-plane and through plane). Also, additive levels up to 75 weight % combined with low viscosity and excellent flowability result in higher throughput during extrusion while providing lower energy consumption.
Tests conducted at Fraunhofer LBF in Darmstadt, Germany, on PA6 compounds confirms that the abrasion level of Martoxid TM-4250 is low and much less abrasive compared with fillers that have a lower Mohs hardness, such as aluminosilicate and glass fiber.
The unique engineered morphology and surface treatment qualities of Martoxid TM-4250 enable formulators to achieve superior compound performance, including excellent mechanical properties such as elongation at break and Charpy impact strength. Because of the optimized rheological behavior, the Martoxid TM-4000 series can be used in complex and integrative designs of parts, including sub-millimeter wall thicknesses via standard injection molding techniques. Furthermore, injection molding production processes showed a reduced cycle time up to 50 percent compared to standard polyamide parts as a result of a faster cooling time. There are a number of application possibilities for the Martoxid TM-4000 series, including a variety of electronics and automotive technologies.
