Silicone Rubber

Precipitated and ground ultrafine grades of Alumina Trihydrate (ATH) are available with and without Hymod® surface treatments. They impart enhanced reinforcement, flame retardance and electrical properties. Silane surface modification improves ATH dispersion and lowers compound viscosity while increasing mechanical properties of the silicone rubber compound, enhancing mold release.

Hymod® M9400 SP and Martinal® OL-104C silane treated ATH were specifically designed to impart outstanding reinforcement in demanding silicone rubber applications such as high voltage insulators.  Some compounders will blend treated, ground ATH with Hymod M9400 SP or Martinal OL-104C to develop a silicone rubber to meet less stringent requirements.
