David Schumacher

David Schumacher has been Vice President and General Manager of Huber AgroSolutions, a strategic business unit (SBU) of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), since August 18, 2025.

Schumacher joined Huber after more than eight years with Valent BioSciences, where he most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he led global initiatives that enhanced revenue growth, strengthened customer engagement and expanded market presence across key business segments. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at Valent BioSciences, including Vice President of Commercial Operations; Global Business Director, Public Health and Forest Health; and National Sales Manager, Public Health.

With more than two decades of experience in commercial strategy, sales and operations, Schumacher has built a strong record of driving innovation, integrating acquisitions and launching new business units across both private and public sectors.

Schumacher earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Northern Illinois University with an emphasis in molecular biology and completed Northwestern University’s Kellogg Executive Scholar Program in Sales & Marketing.
