Halogen-free flame retardants

Within the walls of each project, wires and cables are made safer with halogen-free fire retardant additives, such as Vertex® magesium hydroxide (MDH), Hydral® aluminum hydroxide (ATH), Zerogen® MDH and Kemgard® molybdate smoke suppressants from Huber Advanced Materials.

Better Paints and Coatings

Once drywall is in place, Hubercarb® and Geotex® calcium carbonates from Huber Specialty Minerals are used in joint compound, and to enhance adhesives, caulks, sealants, paints and coatings. These act as viscosity modifiers, extenders and agents to either reduce or enhance gloss and also as an anti-slip additive to densify the product. They can be used to extend products that have a less sustainable footprint.

Polymer applications that deliver

Huber Advanced Materials offers a very broad portfolio of premium-quality halogen-free fire retardants and smoke suppressants to meet the most stringent requirements in wire, cable and connector applications. Our materials help meet UL-94 VO, ISO 6722 T3/T4 and Construction Products Regulation (CPR) class C and B2.
