HUBER SPECIALTY MINERALS ANNOUNCES PRICE INCREASE FOR ITS INDUSTRIAL CALCIUM CARBONATE PRODUCTS

ATLANTA, GA (US), November 1, 2022 – Huber Specialty Minerals, a subsidiary of Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), which is a business that is part of the J.M. Huber Corporation portfolio of businesses, announces a price increase for its industrial performance minerals calcium carbonate products.  The increase is effective January 1, 2023, or as current contracts allow.

The price increase is driven by escalating cost pressures due to price and labor inflation, raw materials, energy and transportation costs in combination with extremely strong demand across all markets for calcium carbonate products.

Huber’s industrial calcium carbonate products are used in a variety of consumer and industrial applications, including building materials; drilling fluids; rubber; thermoset composites; thermoplastics; luxury vinyl tile; flooring; swimming pool aggregate; cultured marble; paints and coatings; adhesives; caulks; sealants; and animal feed and nutrition.
