Paints & Coatings

Ground calcium carbonate (GCC) is commonly used in a number of paint and coating applications.  It is used as an extender, an agent to either reduce or enhance gloss, an extender / spacer for titanium dioxide, a rheology modifier and as a paint and coating additive to densify the product.

Introducing Hubercarb® W325 Calcium Carbonate

Huber is pleased to introduce Hubercarb® W325 ground calcium carbonate for paints and coatings.  This unique grade is manufactured from the brightest limestone ore available on the market.  An important and key feature is its very low silica level of 0.05%, which is considered non-dedectable.  Consequently, Hubercarb W325 doesn't require a health warning on its SDS.
